I’m pretty inept when it comes to mechanical work, but I’ve been told these are relatively easy fixes by those more knowledgeable than me. I just don’t have the skill set to do it myself. It does need a new alternator belt I believe, and there are some creaky noises here and there. I have experienced it pop out of first gear, but only when shifting from neutral to first or from second to first, and it’s only happened a handful of times. There are rips and tears in the soft top that I’ve attempted to DIY fix. I was going to replace the soft top, but never got around to it. Priced accordingly due to these issues, I’m sure if you’re a fanatic of these cars / more mechanically inclined this car is going to make for an amazing project. I had a lot of plans for it but I need something more practical!
