1996 Mustang GT for sale (Track day/street legal competition/Drag). Please read the entire ad. There is a list of mods and conditions. This should answer most questions, but I will gladly answer anything you have. This is an Arkansas car and totally rust free. Shock towers, floors, rockers, etc. No rust issues. 1996 Mustang GT. 4.6 2v engine in place with T45 Transmission in place. This car was running and driving when this project started. The vehicle showed 135K on the odometer and it ran and shifted perfectly. I drove the car to the shop when I bought it. Replaced coil wires and did not touch the engine after that. All engine modules and ECU harnesses were removed from the body, but the actual engine harness is still on the engine. The vehicle is an original GT with the stripper package similar to the GTS package on the 95. Roll up windows, no power seats, no power locks. Door panels and rear window panels remain in place and windows roll up and down. All stock pedals are in place including clutch and cable. I have a clear title in my name and the vehicle is plated. (tagged) Mods…8 point Rhodes Race Cars cage with door bars, extra bracing, and dash bar fitted. Complete Team Z weld-in full subframe connectors have been installed. Custom fabricated dash with Autometer gauges including tach with shift light. (Oil pressure, Water Temp, Volts, Fuel level) Quick release steering wheel and racing steering shaft connect to the stock power steering box. 15 gallon aluminum fuel cell (never had fuel in it). Fabricated fuel cell mount and under protection. Easy fuel cell removal for any service needed. The fuel cell is capable of having a submerged pump for F.I. Wide angle roll cage mounted rearview mirror with stock side mirrors still in place. Master electrical cutoff hidden in original fuel door with SCCA markings externally. Trunk mounted battery holder. Bullet 18 X 9 ½ wheels all around. 1” wheel spacers on all four corners. Tires are for rolling around and would need replacement. Interior is gutted and anything other than the door panels and rear panels has been removed. Over 300# of wiring and sensors, dash, etc. was removed. Two Kirkey aluminum seats were cut down for a vintage style bucket with wrap around and completely upholstered. Seats are fully adjustable fore and aft with sliders securely mounted to the floor with original anchors. Vinyl striping is in place and can be removed. Hood is stock, but has multiple heat extractors installed along with hood pins and trunk pins on cables. A tubular radiator support and crossbar is installed with easy removal in order to make radiator, grill, etc. drop out quickly for engine access or install and removal. Fabricated front splitter with braces installed. Rear mounted generic wing (adjustable spoiler). Ford 8.8 Traction Lock rear end (original) with unknown gearset. (highway for sure) Paint is fair, but has some dings. All glass is good with the exception of the windshield which was cracked when the roll cage was installed. 1996 Mustang GT paint code NA which is Dark Tourmaline Pearl. (Forrest Green metallic) There is plenty that I have missed. The car is a very nice project, but the engine and trans are in place along with all that was mentioned. Original radiator and fan are included. Could run and drive with little work. You could engine swap, stand alone F.I. system or carb setup. I have gone from a very large personal shop to a small shop with the move to Aurora, NE. and I do not have room to keep the car. Again, I have a clear title and the car is plated (tagged). There has been no suspension work done at this point, other than chassis stiffening and strengthening. All components are stock. I have a considerable amount of money in the car not to mention hours and hours of time. Hate to get rid of it, but it needs a new home. No trades, no low balls and no picture collectors please.
