Description

1989 BMW 325is Track Car / Race Project — $4,500 OBO Up for sale is a 1989 BMW 325is (E30) track car — a proven club racer (ran as car #129) that's been stripped and prepped for track duty. It comes with a complete M20 inline-six and manual transmission installed, sitting on BC Racing coilovers, with aftermarket wheels and Continental tires. This is a great platform for someone who wants to finish a build and go wheel-to-wheel or do track days without starting from a bare shell. What it is • 1989 BMW 325is (E30) coupe, previously campaigned on track • M20 2.5L inline-six with manual transmission, complete and installed • BC Racing coilover suspension • Stripped interior with race dash, switch panel, gauges, and motorsport wiring • Quick-release steering wheel, tall race shifter, hydraulic handbrake • Aftermarket wheels with Continental tires • Includes a roll cage (see notes) and a box of spare parts Included in the sale • The car as shown, with wheels and tires • BC Racing coilover suspension • Race electronics — dash/switch panel, gauges, wiring, and ECU • Roll cage (not yet installed — see below) • Spare parts: If seriously interested I will do an inventory of what is in the parts bins for this car. Honest status — read before you message I want to be completely straight with a potential buyer: • I have not started the car in two years. It is complete and should run and drive without issues — all the parts are there and it served for years on track before I acquired it — but I have not fired it up since purchasing it two years ago. If I find some time, I will put a battery to it and see if we can get it to fire Sold as-is. • Roll cage is included but not installed. A brand-new replacement cage is included to be put in, one bar in the kit is damaged but that can be easily fabricated. Cage install/certification is up to the buyer. • Fire suppression system is present but should be inspected/updated before any competition use. I did not check the dates but I assume it is out of service date. • Needs a race-spec battery to meet tech requirements. • Battery cutoff/kill switch is installed but I have not verified it functions — assume it needs testing. • General race-car wear throughout — this is a track tool, not a show car. No title — sold on a bill of sale only. This is a dedicated track/race car and is not represented as street-legal or registerable. $4,500 OBO. Cash and local pickup — buyer arranges loading/transport. Message me with questions.
