Description

1987 Nissan 300ZX IMSA GTU race car, originally campaigned by George Alderman in IMSA events in the GTU class including the 24hrs. of Daytona. Great car, easy to drive and truly race ready. Ownership history known since new with extensive professional race history in the 80's. Accepted at all premier vintage events. - Underwent a full bare metal restoration between 2016 and 2019 by Racecraft of Woodinville, Washington. The car features a fiberglass body, steel tube frame chassis, front rear independent suspension. - Power is from a naturally-aspirated 3.0-liter VG30 Nissan V6, electronic fuel injection, MS3-Pro management, original magnesium cam covers, dry sump oil system, cross-over intake manifold with ITB's, built by Nissan factory race engine builder with all machine work done at Ed Pink. - 4 speed Tex Racing dogring gearbox - R200 rear differential with O.S. Giken limited-slip unit - Penske shocks - nickel plated suspension components - Z Car Garage CV axles - aluminum driveshaft - Panasport 16" 3-piece wheels and a spare set of BBS style 3 piece wheels. - Since restoration was completed is has raced at the 2021, 2022 and 2023 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, a couple smaller vintage events at Seattle and Sonoma and a couple test days. Total run time on everything is about 14.50 hrs. since restoration. - Restoration photos, set-up sheets, driver history, etc. available for interested buyers.
