Description

This Datsun 200SX was originally built by Electramotive when it was brand new. This was the 28th car off the assembly line, and was featured on display at the 1976 Chicago Auto Show. Car has been raced successfully for many years, winning GT3 regional and national championship races. This Datsun has been rotisserie restored and is in great condition, both cosmetically and mechanically. The body features flared wheel arches, with fiberglass front fenders and a carbon fiber hood. The paint and body are in very nice condition, with slight imperfections to be expected on a race car. Glass front windshield. Lexan rear and side windows. The 15’’ Panasport wheels are also newer, and the Toyo R888 tires have 1 event on them. Mechanically, this Datsun features a 2.0L engine with Weber 48’s. The transmission is a freshly rebuilt Datsun 5 speed close ratio unit with zero laps on it. The brake calipers have been recently restored, and 2 new brake master cylinders have also been recently installed. This car was most recently on track at Lime Rock Park in May of 2026. SCCA annual tech completed in April of 2026. Current SCCA log book as well as early SCCA log books dating back to 1978. This car is eligible (and accepted) to run in the VRG B/Sedan race series.
