Description

This is a 1988 BMW 325iS currently prepped for endurance and HPDE. Has won podiums in AER and Champ Car (EC) events. Most recently raced in Northeast GT in GT11 class, and primarily used for track days for past six years. Powered by an overbored M20 inline-six running a Haltech 750 Elite standalone ECU and custom wiring harness from Tuner Tools in Billerica, Mass. Receipts for harness, ECU setup, and tune total over $8,000 and dyno sheet shows engine making 230 horsepower to the rear wheels. Custom Be Cool radiator and new Mishimoto electric fan. Oil changed after every event. Water pump and oil-pan gasket are new this year. Thermostat just replaced and new fuel tank as of three years ago. Five-speed transmission and rear LSD from an E36 M3. Interior features two Recaro containment seats, with new Schroth six-point driver’s side belts good until 2030 and new window nets. AIM MXL2 dash, Podium transponder, and wiring for AIM SmartyCam. Radio equipment not included, CoolShirt system including wiring, cooling, and trunk mount negotiable. Car is set up to run on 200TW tires and comes with 15x7 (225/45R15) and 15x8 (245/40R15) wheels. Currently sitting on 8-inch Falken RT660 but includes sets of fairly fresh BF Goodrich Rival+ and older Hankook RS4s. For suspension, the car is on Eibach springs with Bilstein dampers, adjustable anti-roll bars (though we often leave the rear off) and runs camber plates. Stock-sized disc brakes all around with slotted Frozen Rotors discs and Hawk Blue pads with two track days on them. Aero consists of new front fascia and adjustable rear wing. Car recently overheated on track after losing accessory belt. We pulled the radiator, and checked the water pump and all seems to be running fine. Comes with a huge spare package and documentation of work over the last 15 years. This car has been a faithful companion that’s taught my Father and I so much about race-track and competition driving. The engine has a spectacular and distinctive straight-six rasp, and the handling is wonderfully communicative. It’s bittersweet to sell, but we’re moving on to different types of racing. Listing this car for my Father, who doesn't have Facebook. For any questions I can't answer, I'll connect you with him.
