Description

FOR SALE — 2009 HOLDEN COMMODORE EX-WGA V8 SUPERCAR 521 bhp. Championship-winning history. Seven-speed DCT. Huge spares package. A rare opportunity to own a Holden race car with real history, serious performance, and a V8 soundtrack that always gets attention. Originally built in 2009 for the WGA V8 Supercar Series in Bahrain, this Commodore was one of two cars used by the Batelco Race Team, carrying number 24. I’ve owned it for four years and thoroughly enjoyed racing it. Almost every part has been upgraded from its original WGA specification to develop it into a fast, reliable, and competitive endurance racer. Developed for Europe’s 750MC Club Enduro Championship, it competed against factory-built race cars and professional teams, taking the 2022 Clubman Class championship title after a full season with multiple podium finishes. It has also raced at Road America and completed test days at Putnam Park, Indiana. It’s always been a crowd favorite—different from the rest of the grid, competitive, and easily one of the best-sounding cars out there. KEY SPECIFICATIONS • GM LS3 aluminum V8 producing 521 bhp on a conservative tune • Brian Crower dual valve springs and titanium retainers, upgraded rocker trunnions, BTR pushrods, and GM endurance-spec hydraulic lifters • Melling high-pressure oil pump, baffled sump, race-spec piston ring gaps, and ARP head bolts • AEM Infinity ECU with twin wideband sensors • PWR radiator and Setrab engine and gearbox oil coolers • Hooker long-tube headers with a custom twin 3-inch stainless side-exit exhaust, heat-shielded by Immico TRANSMISSION AND DATA • BMW/ Getrag seven-speed DCT conversion with short ratios and sequential shifting • HTG gearbox controller, new in 2025 • SSP sump, internal filters, and twin external Setrab oil coolers • Shift times of approximately 80 milliseconds • AEM CD7 digital dash with data logging and lap timing • ECU, gearbox controller, dash, and wideband sensors linked through CAN BRAKES AND HANDLING • PFC endurance brakes front and rear • PFC ZR27 four-piston front calipers with 380 mm floating discs • PFC ZR33 four-piston rear calipers with 355 mm floating discs • New pads and rotors in 2026, with only 10 testing laps • Braided brake lines, AP pedal box, and adjustable brake bias • Pedders two-way coilovers with 12 kg springs • Spherical suspension joints with adjustable camber, caster, and toe • 3.27 Kaaz LSD fitted, with 3.45 and 2.97 ZF limited-slip differentials included as spares CHASSIS AND EQUIPMENT • Fully seam-welded chassis and subframes with an FIA-spec roll cage • Fibreglass bonnet, boot lid, and rear doors • Carbon rear wing, carbon rear diffuser, and front splitter with aero modifications • Polycarbonate windows with sliders, rear scoops, and ducting • ATL 120-litre fuel cell installed in 2020 • ATL dry-break refueling system with dump churn included • Cobra Suzuka Pro-Fit GT-width seat, just out of date, plus a spare passenger seat • Schroth harness and Lifeline Zero 360 electronic fire system installed in 2022 • Three sets of 18 × 10 wheels, Hoosier dry tires, Michelin PS4 wet tires, and three sets of used Hankook tires EXTENSIVE SPARES INCLUDED The spares package is substantial—you’ll need plenty of trailer space! Includes spare body panels, doors, bonnet, front bumper, headlights and headlight blanks; suspension arms, spherical bearings, subframes, hubs, wheel bearings, and original Bilstein suspension; spare brake discs, pads, bells, and caliper brackets; plus a radiator, oil coolers, ignition leads, filters, spark plugs, wiring looms, and fuel pumps. CONDITION The car has never been crashed and is straight. It has been raced hard, so the bodywork has some minor rubbing and signs of use. It currently wears a camouflage wrap, with white paint underneath. A complete, turnkey race car with championship-winning pedigree and a comprehensive spares package. Suitable for endurance racing, sprint racing, or track days, subject to the relevant event requirements.
