Description

1987 Ford Mustang Coupe – 393 Windsor / Nitrous / 5.92 Car Considering selling my 1987 Fox Body Mustang coupe. May consider the right trade. Interested in sxs 4 seater of the same value, 69-72 f100 swb, or maybe some other cool Ford cruiser with Ford motor. This is a serious, well-built small-tire drag car with a lot of quality parts and adjustability throughout. No expense was spared where it matters. The car has been 5.92 in the 1/8 mile and has a lot of potential in the right hands. Engine / Powertrain * 351 Windsor stroked to 393 cubic inches * Edelbrock Victor Sr. cylinder heads, professionally worked by Stiegemeier * Nitrous fogger system, currently running a 200 shot * Powerglide transmission * 5,500 RPM stall converter * Transbrake Front Suspension / Chassis * Team Z tubular K-member * Team Z front control arms * Viking Crusader double-adjustable long-travel front struts * Tubular front chassis forward of the strut towers * Factory frame rails retained * Mini-tubbed rear Rear Suspension * Team Z double-adjustable lower control arms * Team Z adjustable lower torque boxes * UPR double-adjustable upper control arms * UPR adjustable upper torque boxes * Multiple suspension mounting positions for dialing in instant center and anti-squat * Adjustable rear suspension set up for small-tire racing * Anti-roll bar Electronics / Data * DataMax data logger for monitoring passes and making informed tuning adjustments Wheels / Tires * Hoosier 28x10.5-15 C07 slicks * Tubes installed * Small-tire setup Performance * Best ET: 5.92 in the 1/8 mile on street * Approximately 2,900 lbs * Proven nitrous small-tire combination This car has a lot of suspension adjustability and quality components. It was built with the ability to tune the chassis for different track and surface conditions, not just throw horsepower at it and hope it works. There is a lot of time, money, and work invested in this car. Anyone who has built a Fox Body to this level knows what these parts cost and what it takes to put a combination like this together. I’m considering moving on to other hobbies, so I’m putting it out there to see what kind of interest there is. Serious inquiries only. I know what it costs to build one, and I’m not interested in giving it away.
